Moving to the Country

We’ve bought a house in the country!! So excited!

Crash! Boom! That means moving! Ugh!

Even worse moving while homeschooling. We’ve done this before. The weird thing is instead of planning for 3 kiddos’ school work, I only have 1 to plan for this year. And a very energetic busy 1 year old. My oldest 2 graduated this year. (Come back for a homeschool planning post)

We kinda homeschool year round. We take off June, it’s usually full of camp fun. Need help on how to pack your kiddo for summer camp? See this post I recently did Pack your kiddo for camp. In July, I’ll start back adding a few subjects in, regardless of which house we are in at the time. Confession time: I haven’t started back schooling. We are trying Classical Conversations this upcoming school year. Practicum is this week and VBS starts aaaannnd we are trying to get our house on the market. I need to lie down.

We are having some remodeling done at the new house, in the mean time we are packing, de-cluttering, and getting this house ready to go on the market. They started work this week.

My  goals are to pack 3-5 boxes a day and de-clutter some area every day. Well, that the sane plan but now….eeek. I also have a teething one year old. My kiddos are all late teethers. Anyone else?

Update: We have our house on the market. It’s been crazy busy around here.

Thoughts of drinking coffee and reading my Bible on this front porch with this view are driving me forward.

Anyone have any great packing and moving tips for me? Please leave them in the comments! I’d love to hear them in the comments.
